On the occasion of Earth Day 2024, Aparajita Mahila Samaj (AMS), in collaboration with Aarogyam Hospital, organized a sanitary kit distribution event at Meja Polytechnic College.

The event was held under the guidance of AMS President Smt. Anu Soni. As part of the sustainability message, environment-friendly bags were also distributed to promote eco-friendly practices.

Smt. Anu Soni addressed the gathering with a message emphasizing the importance of well-being and menstrual hygiene. She said, "On this auspicious occasion, let's pledge to take care of our health and well-being. Menstrual hygiene is a crucial aspect, and all women should be informed and have access to the necessary resources. These efforts contribute to building a healthier community, healthier nation and a healthier world.”

During the program, Dr. Manisha Pandey, Chief Medical Officer, Aarogyam Hospital, gave a lecture on menstrual hygiene. She emphasized the significant role that good menstrual hygiene practices play in preventing various diseases. She also provided guidance on how to dispose of sanitary napkins in an environmentally responsible way.

The event had the presence of around 300 students, college staff, AMS representatives, corporate social responsibility (CSR) officials, and hospital staff.
